Groovies use the latest educational theories for teaching basic math concepts. Designed for many different uses, these blocks help children learn sorting, ordering, opposites, and pattern building. The set contains 28 grooved blocks with embossed numerals and math symbols, plus geometric shape sets that correspond to the number on the opposite side.

Our Groovie Blocks are not complicated, they’re just blocks, after all. They are, however, full of potential for helping children master basic math concepts. Children will “understand” the Groovies immediately. They will stack them, knock them down, interlock them, make patterns and shapes, touch the shapes with their fingers. It’s not essential to a child’s learning that an adult be involved while playing with Groovie Blocks.

But we encourage you to play with your child and their Groovies. Name or count the shapes out loud with them, form equations for them to solve, ask them to match colors or shapes. In short, challenge them, puzzle them, and then let them explore on their own.

Once you have planted the seed for these concepts, children will start to do activities on their own. A child cannot help but absorb math concepts while playing with our Groovies.
